Facilities

Current students and staff of the University and alumni are welcome to use the Centre's facilities and may book online through this website or by email/fax application. Accommodation may also be booked by staff and students of other local universities and schools as well as companies and public organizations.

Professional societies are also welcome to use the Centre as a venue for local, regional and international conferences and workshops. HKUKC's residential facilities costs compare favourably with those available elsewhere in Hong Kong.

The Centre provides a quiet and comfortable location allowing visitors or delegates to interact freely without distraction. Various modes of public transportation are available for visits to the city and nearby sites of interest in the New Territories including Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden, Mai Po, Hong Kong Wetland Park and Walled villages of Hong Kong. Ample car parking is available at the Centre.

As well as being able to enjoy the Centre's extensive grounds, visitors also have access to other facilities including barbecue pits upon requests.

Residential Accommodation

The Centre provides a variety of residential accommodation for large and small groups of visitors as well as individuals. All rooms are now provided with internet connections. In some areas, wireless internet connections are provided.

Kadoorie Centre has 2 buildings for accommandation: Lady Kadoorie Hostel and Lady Youde Hostel.

There are 10 air-conditioned Dormitories, providing sleeping spaces for six persons. Shared shower and toilet facilities are provided adjacent to the dormitory units.

There are 4 Guest Rooms and 15 Deluxe Guest rooms with an en-suite bathroom available for booking. Some Deluxe Guest Rooms are with a kitchenette, bedroom, sitting room and balcony. These can also be rented on a long term basis by students conducting research in the Centre and nearby locations.

There are two large air-conditioned four-bed guest suites each with a large sitting room, kitchenette and bathroom.

Facilities for Conferences and Meetings

The Centre provides a comprehensive set of facilities for those interested in holding conferences and meetings.

The Horace Kadoorie Hall is fully carpeted and air-conditioned. It seats up to 150 delegates and provides a full range of audio-visual equipment. A Seminar Room seating up to 100 guests is also available.
